U13 Thomas Ashe "A" V Round Towers "A"
It was on the road today for the guys who made the away trip to Lusk to play the strongest team in our division Round Towers at their home ground coincidentally named Thomas Ashe Park!! The guys came flying out of the traps and raced into a very early lead with a well worked goal. It was nip and tuck throughout the whole first half with both teams putting on a decent display for the onlookers of both sides with some fantastic football played. Second half we started slow which allowed Round Towers to chalk up a couple of scores before we found our feet. The guys battled with pride throughout the whole second half and never gave up the fight driving eachother on to the final whistle. Thomas Ashe will take a lot from this game and we rue our opportunity’s today both in front of goal and been sloppy in possession as it could have been a lot tighter than the Scoreline suggested. The spirit and never say die attitude of the team is a testament to the group of players and management. Special mention to our stand in goalkeeper Ryan who never looked out of place and produced some fantastic saves and also both Harry and Clayton who were powerful in the engine room in midfield and Sean for some outstanding defence. Gracious sportsmanship shown by all Thomas Ashe at the final whistle. We go again training on Monday.
Thomas Ashe U13A
Thomas Ashe “A” v Naomh Mearnog “A”
Friday night back under the lights in St Margarets seen Thomas Ashe “A” under 13s come up against a tough opponent in Naomh Mearnog “A” on a soggy wet night of footaball. Thomas Ashe known in recent games as been slow starters raced out of the blocks and took the game to Naomh Mearnog who had no answer to the early goals and points produced by Thomas Ashe in a wonderful display of teamwork and individual scoring which seen the lads go in at halftime worthy leaders. Unlike past weeks Thomas Ashe came out unusually flat footed in the second half which allowed their opponents a way back into the game. It was nip and tuck throughout the whole second half with nothing to split the teams come the final whistle although on near misses this game could of been Thomas Ashes for the keeping. A very enjoyable and evenly matched contest with a final score of 2-8 to 3-5 ending in a draw. Some fanatic individual displays from the guys with the highlight been a magnificent save from Goalkeeper Oisin to prevent what seemed a certain goal to keep us in it and a fantastic point from open play the last kick of the game earned us a draw. This team once again showed they are rapidly improving each game and the lads from 1-17 the whole way through the squad can be proud of their efforts tonight. Well done to all involved we go again training Monday.
Minor Championship
The minor girls played in a thrilling opening to the championship away to Ballyboden last night. Unfortunately, they just fell short on the night losing by a single point, 1:10 - 3:3. A big night for Emma and Lena who made their club debuts. And a special mention to the younger girls Beth and Chloe who played a huge part in the game: Beth scoring 2 goals and Chloe playing a blinder in goals. With players missing we just had 12 players and all 12 worked their socks off on a full-size pitch. Looking forward to the next match at home on Monday night.
Team: Chloe, Rebecca, Ceri, Meabh, Sarah, Erica, Lena, Kaylah, Beth, Lucy, Daena, Emma

U13A 6-13 v Erin's Isle 5-11
A very tough encounter against a strong Erin's Isle team seen our U13A lads come out on top as worthy winners by a scoreline of 6-13 to 5-11 giving us an overall win by 5 points in a game of hard battles right across the pitch and each player right through to the subs played their part.
It was an evening of mixed results as our U13B went down to a very good Na Fianna team but they never stopped battling all the way to the end and things will get better for this team soon and well done to every player also.
Really good to have two teams playing football.
Well done to all we go again in training.
U13A 6-12 v Ranelagh Gael 4-5

Finished result 6 12 to 4 5. Good to get our first win on the board. Fair play to all the lads.
Next match is this evening v Erin's Eisle.
Thomas Ashe B V Na Fianna both games are away at 7.30pm.
