RIP Ronan Gormley

St Margarets GAA would like to extend it’s deepest sympathies to the Gormley family and all our friends at Garristown GAA on the very sad passing of Ronan today, Sat Dec 6th 2025.

On the field Ronan was a fierce competitor who gave his all for his teammates. He was a vital midfield cog in the team that brought Garristown back to Dublin senior football  ranks in the late 90s. He played for many years until injury forced him to retire.

In recent years he ran their 2nd team and guided all their young players through their first experience of adult football. This resulted in him guiding the team to an historic county championship title just 3 weeks ago. He was the ultimate clubman.

We want to offer our sincere sympathy to his wife Caroline, his two sons Sam and Darragh, his siblings John, Simon, Niall,  Hilary and Sinead who are an integral part of Garristown GAA, his extended family and his wide circle of good friends.

Ronan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
