Margaret’s GAA & Community Campus Development Project Partnership & Sponsorship opportunities
There are opportunities for suitable businesses and other organisations, wishing to increase their engagement within a wide area of North County Dublin, to build strong community relations and to demonstrate a commitment to strong corporate social responsibility.
Why Join Our Journey?
Records show that Gaelic games were played in the St. Margaret’s parish from the late 1800s, making it one of the oldest surviving clubs in Dublin. The club was formally established in 1908. During the intervening years it has established a rich heritage of community involvement and a sporting legacy of significant contributions to Dublin county teams that includes famed All Ireland winning player Paddy Reilly, as well as Michael Kennedy and Sarah Stritch.
Today our inclusive club attracts players of all ages, genders, backgrounds and ethnicities from under 8 years to over 40. Our players and their families come from a vibrant growing population around St. Margaret’s and outwards to towns and hinterlands that include Swords, Hollystown, Ashbourne and Finglas.
St. Margaret’s fields 16 teams including women’s, men’s & children’s. The Club enjoys the active support of c. 360 adult members and extended support across communities over a wide area that is home to over 100,000 people.
It also provides a fitness, walking and social hub for local families and individuals.
As such, St. Margaret’s GAA Club is the primary amenity and social resource for the community covering St. Margaret’s, The Ward, Kilsallaghan, and beyond. It is the hub of the community, that becomes a hive of activity on weekday evenings and truly comes alive at weekends as juveniles and adults of all ages descend upon the far-admired turf. This provides a unique opportunity for corporate exposure, as it facilitates a direct and tangible method of demonstrating support to the wider community while directly reaching and having a positive impact on the majority of households and families in the area.
The main pitch at the St. Margaret’s Sports Campus is classed as a top category amenity and is used for Grade 1 games by both Mens’ and Ladies Gaelic Athletic Associations. Up to 10 inter-county club championship games are played at the venue each year with attendances in excess of 1,000 people and streaming views in excess of 10,000 per game.
The Club’s Development Plan envisages a number of enhancements to the playing and community facilities over the coming years, providing the ideal opportunity to show your support for this initiative and the community.
