u11 challenge vs St. James’s gaels

The u 11s played a challenge match away to James gaels this Saturday morning. With both sides struggling for numbers we played an extremely entertaining and competitive game. James’s started the brighter and went into an early lead of 1-3 to no score. After st Margaret’s woke up they levelled quickly with goals from Danny and James. Margaret’s then went into the lead with points from ryan and James before James’s came back strong and despite great defending from Jack Liamas Tadhg Aidan and Eoghan James’s went into the break 1 point up after scoring a goal. After the break it was point for point for a long period until Margaret’s took the lead with a goal after great work from Evan to get James a second goal. 2 more quick goals from Danny and James to get his hat trick gave Margaret’s a cushion but James gaels never died and came back strong getting a goal of their own, despite 2 brilliant blocks. Margaret’s were getting tired and it took great effort to hold on for the minimum of wins. Final score of St. James’s 4-6 St Margaret’s 5-4
