U13 Thomas Ashe "A" V Round Towers "A"
It was on the road today for the guys who made the away trip to Lusk to play the strongest team in our division Round Towers at their home ground coincidentally named Thomas Ashe Park!! The guys came flying out of the traps and raced into a very early lead with a well worked goal. It was nip and tuck throughout the whole first half with both teams putting on a decent display for the onlookers of both sides with some fantastic football played. Second half we started slow which allowed Round Towers to chalk up a couple of scores before we found our feet. The guys battled with pride throughout the whole second half and never gave up the fight driving eachother on to the final whistle. Thomas Ashe will take a lot from this game and we rue our opportunity’s today both in front of goal and been sloppy in possession as it could have been a lot tighter than the Scoreline suggested. The spirit and never say die attitude of the team is a testament to the group of players and management. Special mention to our stand in goalkeeper Ryan who never looked out of place and produced some fantastic saves and also both Harry and Clayton who were powerful in the engine room in midfield and Sean for some outstanding defence. Gracious sportsmanship shown by all Thomas Ashe at the final whistle. We go again training on Monday.

Big Win for U12 Boys
St. Margaret's U12 boys came out on top in a tough game at home to Craobh Ciaran. Some great individual performances but overall the whole team played great with all subs coming on and having a positive impact on the game. It was a tight game mostly but the lads pulled away at the end with some great scores and won the game comfortably. All the hard work and effort in training is definitely paying off! Keep up the good work lads!!

St Margarets u12s had a hard fought win against Craobh Chiarain on Saturday afternoon. The game started well for St Margarets as they dominated the early exchanges but some wayward shooting ment the game remained scoreless for the first 10 minutes until Matthew scored the first point of the day with an excellent long range effort. The visitors then came roaring back in to the game with a goal on their first attack. The game remained tight with the sides exchanging a point each (Tadhg) until Margarets got a slightly lucky goal from a long range shot again from Cowley. Danny then added another point before the break to go in at the half with a narrow advantage 1.3 to 1.1. The second half started as the first had ended with both sides battling hard. Jack then burst into the game with a quick fire 1.1 to give St Margarets a small cushion. The visitors began to lose there discipline and lost a player. The St Margarets bench then came in and contribute to the game out scoring Chiarain 2.2 to a 0.1 for the remainder. The game finished 4.6 to 1.2 but was much harder fought than the score suggests and was a very entertaining game for the large crowd that gathered to cheer on the lads.

U9’s Girls Home v St Maurs
What a fantastic display of hand passing and team work from the girls this morning on home turf in St. Margaret’s. The Girls are proving that the training sessions are paying off as position awareness and team spirit are reflected in their matches. Both sides had strong tackles and scored fantastic points and goals from play. Well done to all involved this morning and it was lovely that the girls got to celebrate with their mentor Rebecca who brought the winning cup from her recent St Margaret’s Minor Championship Win.
Minor Championship Final
Best of luck to our minor girls in the Championship final tomorrow at 3pm in St Anne's Park against Raheny. Please come along to lend your support to the girls.
