St. Margaret’s Ladies Team amalgamated with St. Finian’s Ladies Team for the 2018 season. This amalgamation ensured that players were not lost to the game. The season started out with low numbers and an uncertainty of survival. However due to the commitment of Paddy Finnegan and Denis O’Keefe and a number of rain, hail or shine players encouraging girls to stay committed the team thrived, increased squad numbers and ended up having a very successful season despite the rocky start.
The ladies team came mid way in the league, got to the Championship Semi Final and reached the Cup Final. No silverware this year, something that the team will be aiming to rectify next season.
Well done to all involved. 2019 preseason strength training is taking place this Wednesday in St. Margaret’s Complex Gym from 7:30 to 8:30. New players welcome.
