New club referee Skye Healy
Well done Skye Healy on her first match as a referee. A super player for St Margaret's Ladies team and now a referee as well. A great role model for our young players 👏
Victory for our U14 girls team today
Congratulations to our U14 girls team 👏 They won their Single Code Div C league final today. A fantastic performance by all girls 💪 What a great way to finish off a fantastic, action packed, fun filled, team weekend 🥇 🏆
Our U14 girls enjoyed an amazing day today in Carlingford Adventure Centre
There was peer jumping, swimming and kayaking 🛶 with lots of screaming and laughter thrown in 😎😊
U14 girls played a cracker of a friendly match in Newbridge House last night.
What a match! It was end to end on a massive pitch in the blistering heat 🌞 Mentor Mick Fox felt the effect of the sun exposure, it was hard work on the long sideline 😎 The evening ended on a high with an obligatory post match swim 🏊 in Portrane. Well done girls, looking forward to this Sunday when we play Clanna Gael/Fontenoy in the league competition.
Junior Ladies record their first win of the season in high scoring game
St Margaret's Junior ladies recorded their first win of the season last evening with a convincing 8-18 to 1-9 victory over Scoil B in a highly entertaining game at home in St Margaret's.
This newly formed team has an excellent blend of experience and youth and are improving with every game they play.
The Ladies were strong in every line from Tutsy Cogley in Goal to Kirsten Doyle at full back and the particularly impressive Sophie McQuillan Clarke who shows maturity beyond her young years at centre back ably assisted by Lauren McDonnell and Jennifer McGuinness on the wings.
Yvonne Dwyer and Charmaine dominated mid field and with Rebecca McGuinness and Kate Dwyer firing on all cylinders up front the outcome of the game was inevitable from a long way out.
Skye Healy, Rudy O'Shea and Caroline Kennedy also excelled up front contributing to some excellent team scores. It was a game where all the subs were used and each one contributing to pushing the team on until the end to ensure there was no dropping of tempo.
St Margaret's: Tutsy Cogley, Meabh O Gradaigh, Kirsten Doyle, Deana Stobie, Jen McGuinness, Sophie McQuillan Clarke, Lauren McDonnell, Yvonne Dwyer, Charmaine Doyle, Rebecca McGuinness, Skye Healy, Rudy O'Shea, Kate Dwyer, Caroline Lawlor, Erica Milling.
Subs Used: Rebecca Monks, Kaylah Clarke, Ceri Rogers, Tasha Barnwall, Fiona Madigan, Lucy O'Rourke, Caoimhe Redmond, Sarah Mangan
Next Match - League game V Trinity Gaels away on Wednesday the 30th June at 7.30pm.
