The steps

  • You create a Garda vetting application in Foireann.
  • The application is sent to the clubs vetting admin (CCO). The CCO approves or rejects the application. If the application is rejected, start again
  • If the application is approved, it’s sent to the National Children’s Officer (NCO) – the vetting department.
  • The vetting department reviews the application and uploads it to the Garda Vetting system.
  • Garda checks are completed, and the vetting department are notified. The application is updated to show the results of the check. The applicant is notified via email.

Before you begin

  • Have a quick read of this article as this is exactly what you’ll be doing
