2019 Healthy Club Conference

The 2019 Healthy Club Conference will take place in Croke Park on Saturday, October 5th.

Delegates will participate in workshops covering:

  • mental health in sport
  • diversity and inclusion
  • positive aging
  • the importance of physical activity

The themes will be brought to life through practical case studies revealing initiatives rolled out by Healthy Clubs in the past 12 months. Renowned GAA coaching tutor, Paudie Butler, will discuss in his keynote address how the development of the child – including their wellbeing – lies at the heart of all good coaching and is fundamental to the principles of the Healthy Club Project.

Tipperary’s 2019 All Ireland winning man-of-the-match Noel McGrath and Dublin’s 2018 All Ireland winning star Nicole Owens will contribute to a panel discussion.

Tickets for the event are free but you must register by clicking HERE. Lunch will be provided on the day.

The event is proudly supported by Irish Life and Healthy Ireland.

Volunteers required - YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

Hi All,

As a club we depend on volunteers to help out in a lot of areas be it the shop, administration, coaching or even just helping with the teams. In the last year our playing numbers have increased especially in the Grasshopper to U12 ages groups both girls and boys which is great.

But on the back of this it is putting pressure on our existing coaches to carry out sufficient training and provide teams for all the kids to play on. If you feel you can give up some time to help in these areas this would be great.

Proper training will be provided on the coaching end and guidance on receiving GAA vetting also.

The more people involved on each team the better! For details please contact Dave Kennedy or John Farrell for details

Thanks
