Minor div 2 Thomas ashe 3-12 Whitehall 3-12 Great performance today by our Thomas ashe team consisting of 12 first year minors 4 u16s and our only 2nd yr minor damo, a slow start and trailing most of the game by 4 or 5 points our lads rallied in the 2nd half to cut the deficit to 2points by the final quarter, with an effort worthy of winners our lads were 3points up with 1 min to go. A last ditch penalty with the last kick of the game gave Whitehall a draw. Alot of disappointment at the end but alot of positives and a really gutsy performance, our lads can hold there heads high. These lads constantly give every ounce of blood swet and tears week in week out and its amazing to watch and witness there determination and will to succeed, they're a credit to the proud badges of these great clubs. A big thank you to the large support with us today, the gorgeous wags screaming there heads off and especially the older inter & junior players who came out to support the lads this morning and giving encouragement all the time, the lads love the support Thanks

Ballinteer St. John’s 0-12 Thomas Ashe 1-16
On paper Thomas Ashe had no right to win this game coming up against Division 1 opposition, however the lads had other ideas & scored 3 of the first 4 points in the game. It was nip & tuck throughout the first half with the lads going in to the half time break 0-10 to 0-8 up.
The second again started at a fierce pace with no let up from either side both trading points before Thomas Ashe were awarded a penalty from a foot block. Rory Dwyer calmly stepped up & slotted the penalty away to give us a 5 point lead. That was a decisive score & the fight seemed to die out of Ballinteer after that. The lads controlled the game & ran out comfortable 7 point winners in the end.

Best players for us were Ronan Howard at right corner back, Mark Hanlon at left corner back, Dylan Gray at right corner forward & David Smyth in center forward.
Scorers were Dylan Gray 0-3, David Smyth 0-3, Jamie McGuinness 0-3, Peter Wright 0-1 Ciaran McManus 0-2, Niall Feekery 0-1, Connor Shanahan 0-2, Eoin Hanlon 0-1, Rory Dwyer 1-0
